Dobbie Doo and
the Raccoon Brothers
"Wait! I'm not a baby!
I'll show you that I'm cool!
I'll tell Toots I want to learn,
So I'm going on to school."

So Dob waddled quickly,
And yelled in the door,
"Toots, I'll see you later!
I'm off to school to learn more!"

As the door slammed behind her,
And she quickly ran away,
Toots called, "Wait, come back Dob!
It's only Saturday!"

Acting like she didn't hear
And following her new friends,
Dob felt so very big,
Even if just pretend.

The Adventures of Tootsie Turtle and Dobbie Doo- Toots and the Thoughtless Pirates

Dobbie was swimming in the lake
One peaceful starry night.
When she overheard Badger bragging
How he'd seen a special sight!
He was standing in the moonlight,
And he told an amazing tale,
Of dragons spitting fire,
And unicorns as big as whales.
And Dob just couldn't help herself,
It seemed too great to be true,
That she hollered for Badger to take her,
On an adventure to see them too!

And then several other friends,
Who were listening to Badger gloat,
Decided they'd like an adventure
with Badger on his boat!

Now, Dobbie knew she needed
to ask before she sailed,
But she was afraid if she ran home first,
that she would miss her unicorn whale.

The Adventures of Tootsie Turtle and Dobbie Doo--
School and Miss Bunny

The students all went home.
Miss Bunny plopped in her chair.
And then she began to smile,
When she thought of how much she cared.
Little Dobbie who felt so big,
Who didn’t have a clue.
There was Sammy Sloth,
Slow as could be, but always willing to do.
And then of course Badger,
Who didn’t realize
His value as a critter,
In Miss Bunny’s eyes.
Tomorrow would be a new day.
There’d be lessons to be taught.
Hugs to be given,
And counsel to be sought.
But Miss Bunny was up for it.
She truly loved what she did.
She couldn’t imagine doing anything else,
Because she loved her kids.

The Adventures of Tootsie Turtle and Dobbie Doo--
Tootsie to the Rescue

Tootsie heard the little cry,
And hurried down the hill.
She found the broken eggs that day.
The scene gave her a chill.
As she looked the place over,
Up popped the duckling’s head.
“Are you my mommy?”
Is what the duckling said.
In her heart, Toots felt compassion,
For the duckling she found that day.
And though she admitted she wasn’t.
She’d never leave her—no way!
Toots took the duckling home.
Gave her breakfast and a name,
“Dobbie Doo” is what she called her,
And life would never be the same.
